Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said Tuesday during a televised meeting with President Vladimir Putin that Russia had for the first time struck ISIS targets in Syria with missiles fired from a submarine in the Mediterranean.

Putin told Shoigu at the same meeting that Russia should not open the flight recorder of the Russian warplane downed by Turkey recently near the Turkish-Syrian border without the presence of international experts.
