Lavrov: US signed the insolvency of Ukraine

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has commented on the IMF reform, which the USA is trying to implement now. If it is adopted tomorrow, the IMF will be able to give credits to those countries which are experiencing a default.

According to Lavrov, the reform is adapted exclusively for Ukraine.

The minister pointed out that the European Union, the United States and the IMF ignored Vladimir Putin’s proposal on the restructuring of the Ukrainian debt for their international guarantees. “Thus, the United States officially abandoned the proposed scheme, confirming that they do not see any prospects for restoring Ukraine’s solvency,” Interfax cites Sergey Lavrov.
