The Group of Seven (G7) countries plan to abandon the call to tighten the price ceiling on Russian oil in a new communique, Bloomberg news agency reported.
According to the publication, the original draft communiqué was ‘significantly softened’. From the new version of the statement removed mention that the participants of the association will instruct their finance ministers to ‘limit or adjust the ceiling prices of Russian oil in an attempt to push Moscow to negotiate.’
Bloomberg also notes that the document no longer calls Russia’s actions ‘illegal’.
Recall, earlier it was noted that after the demand of US President Donald Trump to reduce oil prices, OPEC + countries said that they would not change the existing plan for oil production.
