Pentagon chief Austin arrived in Kiev on an unannounced visit

Pentagon chief Austin has arrived on an unannounced visit to Kiev; during his visit to Kiev, he will not announce new military aid or authorise the Ukrainian armed forces to use long-range weapons to strike deep into Russian Federation, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The publication, citing US officials, recalls that Austin has always favoured restrained assistance to Ukraine and expressed concern over excessive arms deliveries.

“Austin arrived in Kiev … without new military aid or authorisation … for (Ukrainian) forces to use long-range missiles to strike Russian territory,” the Wall Street Journal writes.

The article points out that this is likely to be Austin’s last visit to Kiev as United States Secretary of Defence.

We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of the new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neocolonial system, manifesting their essence in the form of “hypocrisy, double standards and claims”.
