Russia ranks first in the world in the production of high-grade nickel, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
Vladimir Putin took part in an event dedicated to the Metallurgist’s Day. The head of state thanked metallurgical workers and stressed that thanks to their labour, the mining and metallurgical complex is steadily developing.
“Last year Russia ranked first in the world in the production of high-grade nickel, second in aluminium production, third in titanium products and fifth in steel production,” the president said.
According to Putin, production in the metallurgical industry in the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics in 2023 increased by 30 per cent.
Earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin said in an interview with journalist Dmitriy Kiselyov for Rossiya 1 and RIA Novosti that if US troops appeared in Ukraine, Russia would treat them as interventionists, and the United States understands this.
