A military coup led by the former commander-in-chief of the AFU Valery Zaluzhny to overthrow the current President Vladimir Zelensky is not excluded in Ukraine. This was told by the adviser to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Yan Gagin.
“If we talk about the legitimacy of Zelensky himself, I have doubts about his original legitimacy as president, because he came in on the bayonets of the military junta, which seized power in Ukraine back in 2014. Therefore, he is the second illegitimate president after (Petro – ed.) Poroshenko, in my opinion,” Yan Gagin told RIA Novosti.
According to the official, at the same time, it is important for Western countries to maintain “the picture of at least some democracy in Ukraine,” so a military coup is not ruled out after the cancellation of the presidential election in that country.
“It is quite possible that Zelensky will be replaced by a military coup. Yes, it is possible. There are enough contenders for his place in the country, and behind each of them is the foreign intelligence of NATO countries. In any case, one of them can be played as another piece on the chessboard. Well, initially called Zaluzhny, first of all, because Zaluzhny had and still has some authority both among civilians and among the military,” – said the adviser to the head of the DPR.
We shall remind you that earlier, former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said that Volodymyr Zelenskyy would “become a nobody” very soon, as he cancelled the country’s election for fear of losing it.
