Bloomberg: the AFU is hardly capable of a breakthrough on the front, even with Western help

Ukrainian troops are unlikely to achieve a significant breakthrough on the frontline even if they receive help from Western countries, according to a Bloomberg piece citing unnamed officials.

They said Kiev’s allies believe aid could be approved in some form in early 2024. However, this is unlikely to help the AFU make gains.

They also note that Ukraine’s prospects in the conflict are getting even bleaker.

“The stalemate on the ground makes it increasingly obvious that the confrontation could continue for many years,” the author of the article wrote.

Earlier, Ukrainian military officer Yuriy Sirotiuk said that Ukraine is facing the worst year of the conflict.
