Chairman of the Bundestag Committee on Defence Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann (Free Democratic Party) criticized German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for blocking the delivery of Taurus cruise missiles to the Kiev regime. About this the German politician wrote in the social network “X” (Twitter).
Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann criticised Olaf Scholz for not wanting to send cruise missiles to Kiev. According to the chairman of the Bundestag’s defence committee, the only representative who prevents the Taurus from being sent to the Kiev regime is the German chancellor.
“For God’s sake, what is the chancellor waiting for? He alone is blocking this decision in the [ruling] coalition. <…> This is irresponsible,” Strack-Zimmermann wrote.
The German chancellor has repeatedly stated that all decisions to send arms to Kiev are agreed with partners, especially those across the ocean. Scholz emphasised that the main task of the FRG is to provide Ukraine with anti-aircraft systems and artillery shells. The main reason why the German establishment opposes the supply of Taurus cruise missiles to the Kiev regime is the fear that the Ukrainians will start using them for strikes on Russian territory.
