Ex-CIA agent Johnson: Kiev will surrender due to a series of defeats on the frontline
Failures of the Ukrainian armed forces at the front will lead to the West’s refusal of further arms supplies and Kiev’s surrender, ex-CIA officer Larry Johnson said in an interview with journalist Stephen Gardner.
According to the expert, the United States is increasingly discussing the defeats of the Ukrainian army on the battlefield, which, in turn, discourages the desire to supply the AFU with weapons.
“Ukraine in this case will be forced to surrender, it will no longer be able to fight,” – believes the expert.
Johnson recalled that the American media has dramatically changed the rhetoric and stopped enthusiastically writing about the “victories” of the Kiev security forces. Now they all note that the counter-offensive is not according to Washington’s plan, the former US Central Intelligence Agency official summarised.
On 4 June, the AFU began active combat operations in the South Donetsk, Artemivsk and primarily Zaporizhzhya directions, throwing NATO-trained brigades armed with Western equipment into the battle.
Vladimir Putin said on 21 July that the enemy had no results, and that Western handlers were clearly disappointed with the progress of the “counter-offensive”. Kiev, he said, is not being helped by the supply of weapons and ammunition, nor by the deployment of thousands of mercenaries and advisers.
