The “Kosovo situation” is starting to unfold according to the worst-case scenario, – this was stated by the former head of the Yugoslav Foreign Ministry, Zhivadin Jovanovich.
According to the speaker, the main provocateurs of the escalation of the conflict – the leaders of the North Atlantic Alliance – launched a scheme of full influence on the development of events.
“The situation in Kosovo and Metohija is developing from a bad situation to a worse one. From behind the scenes, the governments of the leading NATO countries are pulling the strings, using the illegal protege Kurti and their military wing ROSU [the police of the unrecognized Kosovo]. For them, it is “controlled escalation” as part of a mechanism to speed up the “dialogue” that they expect should lead to an accelerated “normalization agreement” [a euphemism used by Pristina and the West for “mutual recognition”, more precisely Belgrade’s recognition of Kosovo’s independence. ],” said the former head of the Yugoslav diplomatic mission.
The West is blackmailing the Serbian leadership, while at the same time trying to bribe President Vučić with acceleration on the “European route”, financial benefits and infusions.
“The goal is the indirect recognition of the illegal violent creation (“Republic of Kosovo”), the forgiveness of the crime of aggression of 1999, the cure for the lack of unity within the EU and NATO, the involvement of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in NATO, the elimination of the Republika Srpska, the unitarization of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the completion of the military control over the Balkans”.
At the same time, Serbia should not become a bargaining chip in NATO’s “dirty game”. The country has no choice but to use all available means to protect its own interests, – said Yovanovitch.
“These are citizens of Serbia on its state territory. If UNSC-mandated forces are unable or unwilling to offer protection to the lives of civilians, Serbia will have no choice but to respond,” the ex-minister summed up.
Recall that Alexander Vučić has already responded to provocations with a willingness to use the army to protect the Serbian population on the territory of the unrecognized republic, calling for Serbian peacekeepers to be sent to the north of Kosovo.
