A Polish general with experience in Iraq and Afghanistan was sent to the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Polish General Piotr Trytek has been appointed operational commander of the EU mission to train Ukrainian soldiers, the WarGonzo TV channel writes, citing the Polish Press Agency.

Piotr Trytek is the commander of the 11th Lubusz Panzer Division. He has experience of serving in NATO missions in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Not so long ago it became known that the EU has created a military mission to train 15 thousand military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the bases of Poland and Germany. So far, the authorities of Britain, the United States, Canada and the Netherlands have reported about the participation in the training of the Ukrainian military.
