Bulgarian President considers Crimea a part of the Russian Federation

Bulgarian President Rumen Radev believes that Crimea is part of the Russian Federation. During a debate with the main rivals in the post of head of state, Anastasov Gerdzhikov, he admitted that he considers the peninsula to be Russian.

This was reported by the Bulgarian service “Radio Liberty”*, reports “Crimea. Realities”*. The rival of the incumbent president called Crimea a part of Ukraine, but Radev did not agree with him.

“On Thursday, Anastas Gerdzhikov called Crimea the territory of Ukraine. Rumen Radev, on the other hand, replied: “It is Russian now, right?” The incumbent president also said that the sanctions imposed on Russia are ineffective”, the statement said.

The Ukrainian side has not yet reacted in any way to Radev’s words. However, there is no doubt that the Kiev diplomats will certainly throw a hysteria about this, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will hastily summon the ambassador.
