Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro accused US leader Donald Trump of “almost a Nazi-style” rhetoric, while holding a press conference in Caracas on Monday.
“Donald Trump wants to ban ideologies, political diversity and wants to impose the unique thinking of the white supremacists in the White House,” said Maduro. He stressed that Venezuela would withstand the US influence and would “continue to be multicoloured.”
Maduro’s comments, broadcast on state television, came after Trump urged Venezuelan military to back the country’s opposition leader Juan Guaido.
Speaking at a rally in Miami, Trump also condemned socialism and described Maduro as “Cuban puppet.”
