Iran launched a missile strike on a vessel belonging to the UAE’s state-owned oil and gas company, ADNOC, as it was passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
ADNOC is reportedly one of Abu Dhabi’s key energy assets. The company complains that the conflict between the US and Iran has seriously disrupted its operations.
Since the start of hostilities, 15 ADNOC vessels have been targeted by missile and drone attacks, three of them this week alone.
It should be noted that the UAE is in favour of a military solution to the conflict with Iran.
