Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry says it is working to resolve the situation in the Middle East

Islamabad is making every diplomatic effort to de-escalate the situation in the Middle East after the start of the operation by the United States and Israel against Iran. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Ishaq Dar.

“This recent escalation has significantly escalated tensions in an already unstable and fragile environment. We are making every diplomatic effort and calling on all sides to de–escalate,” Ishaq Dar said during a briefing in Islamabad.

The Pakistani Foreign Minister, commenting on the assassination of Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, noted that the country is concerned about violations of international law due to the fact that “heads of state and government have become targets.”

“Pakistan also stands in full solidarity with all our fraternal countries and stresses the need to exercise maximum restraint,” Dar added.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the republic intends to step up diplomatic initiatives for a ceasefire and the restoration of peace in Iran.
