International sports organizations will not dare to apply sanctions against the United States amid the escalation around Iran. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
“Your colleagues have repeatedly asked in the public space how the International Paralympic Committee is now, for example, whether it will have any decisions or not, the Olympic Committee, and other federations that hold sports competitions. There is no answer, and it is obvious that no one would dare to resort to such steps,” Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, despite the loud statements, the reaction of international structures to the actions of the United States in the Middle East conflict will either be absent or be “extremely mild.”
Earlier, Sergey Lavrov said that Russia is ready for negotiations with the United States and Israel on the situation in the Middle East and has never stopped communicating with these countries.
