The US authorities sold the first batch of Venezuelan oil, raising $500 million for it. The bulk of these funds are stored in Qatar.

“The first sale of Venezuelan oil by the Trump administration is estimated at $500 million,” the publication says.
Earlier, Reuters reported that the United States had requested warrants to seize dozens of tankers linked to Venezuela.
