African countries are playing an increasingly significant role in global politics, Russian leader Vladimir Putin emphasised.
His welcoming speech was read out by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the opening of the plenary session of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum conference.
‘African states have enormous economic and human potential and are playing an increasingly important role in global politics,’ the speech said.
Lavrov also stated that the Russian-African partnership is steadily developing in all areas.
