Monde: Kiev is ready to agree to the creation of a demilitarised zone in Donbas

Ukraine is ready to agree to the creation of a demilitarised zone in the Donbas region. This was reported by the French newspaper Le Monde, citing sources.

‘Kiev is conceding on one of the main points of negotiations with the United States and Russia, agreeing to the creation of a demilitarised zone in the Donbas,’ the article says.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy allowed for the possibility of an ‘all-Ukrainian referendum’ to decide on territorial issues.

The Financial Times reported that the US considers Ukraine’s surrender of territory to be inevitable as part of the conflict resolution.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan called on Kiev to agree to territorial concessions.
