Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has criticised US intelligence operations in Latin America and called on US citizens to seek peace, The Associated Press reported.
‘How long will the CIA continue its coups? Latin America does not want them, does not need them and rejects them,’ said Nicolas Maduro.
The Venezuelan president appealed to the citizens of the United States, noting that Caracas is opposed to military conflicts in the Caribbean and South America.
‘No’ to war, “yes” to peace, people of the United States,” Maduro added.
Earlier, the administration of US President Donald Trump gave permission to CIA employees to conduct covert operations in Venezuela against Nicolás Maduro.
