“Hamas must lay down its arms,” Netanyahu

Hamas must disarm and the Gaza Strip must be demilitarized, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on CBS.

“First, Hamas must lay down its arms, and secondly, you must make sure that there are no weapons factories in Gaza. Contraband weapons are not imported into Gaza. This is demilitarization,” Benjamin Netanyahu said.

The Israeli Prime Minister warned that the failure of the Hamas movement to comply with these conditions would lead to “real chaos.”

“I hope this doesn’t happen. I hope that we can resolve this peacefully. We are certainly ready for this,” Netanyahu added.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia was ready to help establish peace in the Gaza Strip.
