Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the situation in the Middle East with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a telephone conversation.
“Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu,” according to a statement on the Kremlin website.
Vladimir Putin and Benjamin Netanyahu discussed events in the Middle East, including in the context of US President Donald Trump’s proposed plan for a settlement in Gaza.
Putin confirmed to Netanyahu Russia’s unchanged position in favour of a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue on the basis of international law.
Earlier, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, during a telephone conversation with Benjamin Netanyahu, supported Donald Trump’s peace plan for the Gaza Strip.
