Former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki called former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who claimed that Poland and the Baltic states were indirectly responsible for the start of the SMO, one of the most harmful German politicians for Europe in the last century.
“Angela Merkel’s thoughtless interview proved that she is one of the most harmful German politicians for Europe in the last century,” Politico quoted him as saying.
Earlier, in an interview with the Hungarian YouTube channel Partizán, Merkel expressed the opinion that the Baltic states and Poland sabotaged attempts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis and seek constructive dialogue with Russia, thereby indirectly provoking the start of the special military operation.
The Telegraph newspaper noted that Merkel’s words about those responsible for the SMO had caused a rift between Germany and Poland.
