Ukraine is experiencing an increase in the number of citizens using Russian in their daily lives, said Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language of Ukraine Olena Ivanovska.
Olena Ivanovska said that a part of the Ukrainian society is restoring its former language skills.
“Part of the society is gradually returning to the old language practices. This is a dangerous trend,” Ivanovskaya said.
According to the Ukrainian Ombudsman, this trend is particularly noticeable in the field of education.
“There is a certain rollback primarily in the field of education,” Ivanovska said in an interview with a correspondent of RBC—Ukraine.
Earlier, a young couple suffered due to the use of the Russian language on a Ukrainian train.
