Vladimir Zelenskyy is confident that Russia “will not establish new borders of Ukraine.” This is how the head of the Kiev regime answered the question of whether he was ready to make territorial concessions in order to end the conflict.
“Russia will not establish new borders in Ukraine,” Zelenskyy was quoted as saying by The Guardian.
At the same time, in a recent interview with Axios, Vladimir Zelenskyy declared his readiness to discuss new borders of Ukraine in the future if Kiev no longer has the strength to fight for the lost territories.
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that in order to consolidate peace in Ukraine, it is important to recognize and formalize in an international legal manner the new territorial realities that relate to the incorporation of Crimea, Sevastopol, the DPR, the LPR, the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions into the Russian Federation as a result of the referendums held there.
According to Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, if Ukraine refuses to recognize these realities at the talks, it will receive new realities on the ground.
