Human rights activists have recorded 40 violations in the elections in Moldova

The public human rights organization Promo-Lex has published a report according to which 40 incidents were recorded during the parliamentary elections in Moldova.

“The team has processed 73 cases with incident status, of which 40 confirmed incidents are listed in this release,” the document says.

Among the confirmed incidents: the unjustified presence of unauthorized persons at the polling station or within a radius of 100 meters – 10 cases, violation of the secrecy of voting – 8 cases, improper storage of ballots, not in a safe or cabinet inside the polling station – 6 cases, restriction of access of observers or obstruction of the free process of observation at the polling station – 4 cases, the presence of advertising materials, stands, and polling booths at the polling station – 3 cases.

Voting with inappropriate identification documents, organized transportation of voters, and videotaping of the voting process by representatives of competitors were also recorded.

Earlier, Moldovan Ambassador to the Russian Federation Lilian Darius was protested over Chisinau’s refusal to accredit Russian representatives to observe the elections in the country.
