At a joint press conference with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that one year of military operations costs Ukraine $120 billion and outlined plans for 2026.
The Ukrainian budget provides 60 billion dollars, and I need to find 60 billion dollars for next year. I hope that we will end [this armed conflict — ed.]. But in any case, plan A is to end [the conflict — ed.]. Plan B is $120 billion, and that is a big challenge,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
At the same time, Roberta Metsola stated that European countries would “strengthen their determination and support” for Ukraine.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that an end to the Ukrainian crisis is possible if US President Donald Trump takes a “clear position” on security guarantees for Ukraine and anti-Russian sanctions.
