Russian President Vladimir Putin had a detailed conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un before the parade in honor of the 80th anniversary of the victory over militaristic Japan and the end of World War II in Beijing on September 3, 2025.
“For the first time on the air. Before the start of the parade, Putin immediately had a conversation with the leader of the DPRK and a detailed conversation with the head of China,” said Pavel Zarubin, a journalist with Rossiya 1.
The footage published by the journalist shows that Vladimir Putin held a conversation with Kim Jong-un “on his feet”, and with Xi Jinping sitting in the waiting area for distinguished guests of the parade.
Earlier, Japan called on a number of states to ignore the Chinese Victory Day Parade held in Beijing on September 3, 2025.
