Europe is unhappy with the US–EU trade agreement – WSJ

Politicians and the European Parliament are unhappy with the trade deal between the United States and the European Union, writes The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

“When in July [2025 – ed.] President [of the United States Donald – ed. When Trump presented a trade agreement with the EU, businesses across the bloc believed it would put an end to months of uncertainty. <…> In less than two months, dissatisfaction with the agreement is growing in Europe,” the publication says.

According to the WSJ, European companies are suspending exports to the United States, complaining about bureaucratic obstacles.

Earlier, Politico wrote that the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats proposed a vote of no confidence in the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, in connection with the trade agreement with the United States.
