About 400 thousand people will leave Ukraine in 2025-2026 – Migration Policy Office

In 2025-2026, about 400,000 more citizens may leave Ukraine, while 70 per cent of them will never return. This is stated in a report by the Migration Policy Office.

According to a report by the Office for Migration Policy, about 400,000 Ukrainians will leave Ukraine in 2026. At the same time, analysts believe that about 70 per cent of Ukrainians will not return home.

The report said that even after the end of the armed conflict in Ukraine, there may be a new wave of migration, which will entail the need to attract foreign workers to restore the country’s economy.

We shall remind you that earlier a representative of the Ukrainian State Border Service, Andriy Demchenko, said that on the first day of the decree allowing military conscripts aged 18-22 to cross the border, men started leaving the country.
