Lars Klingbeil arrived in Kiev with the intention to “discuss how Germany can support Ukraine in a possible peace process.” The German Ambassador to Ukraine Martin Jaeger met the Vice Chancellor at the railway station.

The minister told reporters that the German side “closely coordinates its actions at the international level” and “will justify the responsibility assigned to it.”

Klingbeil also noted that Russia should not “harbor illusions that Germany’s support for Ukraine may weaken.”
