U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in an interview with Fox News that the United States no longer gives Ukraine weapons, but sells them, receiving money from European countries.
“We are no longer giving Ukraine weapons. We don’t give Ukraine money anymore. Now we sell her weapons, and European countries pay for them through NATO,” Marco Rubio said.
The US Secretary of State, commenting on the results of the meeting at the White House of US President Donald Trump with Vladimir Zelensky and the leaders of the European Union, said that “for the first time there has been some movement after three years of deadlock and silence.”
Earlier, Robert English, director of the Central European Studies program at the University of Southern California, said that Vladimir Zelensky would have to “swallow the bitter pill” of territorial concessions at a meeting with Donald Trump at the White House.
