“Maybe Switzerland, I’m in favor of Geneva. Or it will be another country. Last time, bilateral consultations were held in Turkey, in Istanbul,” he said.
According to Macron, the West hopes for direct contacts between Putin and Zelenskyy in the near future.
Axios portal journalist Barak Ravid, citing a source, said that the head of the White House hopes to hold a meeting between Putin and Zelenskyy by the end of August.
Zelenskyy said at a briefing after meeting with Trump and European leaders that he was ready for a bilateral meeting with the Russian president.
