In an interview with Fox News, US Vice President J.D. Vance said that US President Donald Trump wants to “end” the funding of the armed conflict in Ukraine.
“The president and I want America to end the financing of [armed conflict–. In Ukraine <…> Americans are tired of continuing to spend their money, their taxes, on this conflict,” said J. D. Vance.
The US Vice President said that Washington wants to achieve a peaceful settlement of the armed conflict.
Vance noted that if Europe wants to purchase American weapons for further transfer to Ukraine, Washington will not mind, but it will not finance the supplies itself.
Earlier, The Sunday Times reported that the countries in the “coalition of the willing” had refused to send their troops to Ukraine, and instead decided to focus on strengthening its military-industrial complex.
