Kiev protests against Zelenskyy’s prosecution by NABU and SAP

A rally was held in the centre of Kiev against the law signed by Volodymyr Zelenskyy that weakens the independence of Ukraine’s anti-corruption services. This was reported by UNIAN.

The protesters opposed the changes affecting the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP). According to the demonstrators, the law signed by Zelenskyy undermines the fight against corruption in the country.

According to videos posted in the mass media, the square in front of the Franko theatre was completely filled with people.

Earlier, a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Artem Dmytruk, announced that rallies defending the autonomy of the NABU and SAP would be held in a number of major Ukrainian cities.
