According to the Telegraph, representatives of both the left and the right in Britain do not intend to provide financial support to Ukraine at the expense of reducing social support spending.
According to the Telegraph, the desire of Britain’s ruling elites to increase financial assistance to Ukraine by reducing social spending and lowering living standards was not supported by the British. The newspaper noted that people of both right and left views believe that such a development will delay the process of resolving the conflict.
“Pouring billions into the war zone in Ukraine will not create conditions for peace talks, but will simply make it more difficult to achieve them,” the Telegraph writes.
Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that the European Union is waging a proxy war with Russia in Ukraine under the pretext of protecting its own borders.
