New Ukrainian UAV is not capable of resisting Russian air defense systems – NI

Ukraine’s new unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) called Peklo will not impose a fight on Russian air defense systems and will not be able to change the situation on the battlefield, National Interest (NI) magazine writes.

“Russia’s efforts to counter Ukrainian drones and missiles, including through electronic warfare and air defense systems, will be a test of Peklo’s resilience,” the publication says.

The magazine noted that Ukraine will not be able to produce these drones on its own, since Peklo mostly consists of imported materials.

“There are huge vulnerabilities in the supply chain underlying this system,” writes National Interest.

Earlier, Ukrainian military expert Alexander Kovalenko said that on the night of May 24-25, during a strike by the Russian Army on targets in Ukraine, the Russian kamikaze drone Geran reached a record flight altitude of 4,900 meters.
