German Foreign Minister Johann Wadeful arrived in Kyiv on an unannounced visit.
‘Good morning from Ukraine,’ Johann Wadefuhl said in a video posted on social media.
The German Foreign Minister noted that the most important tasks of Germany’s foreign and security policy are the freedom and future of Ukraine.
According to the German Foreign Ministry, Wadefuell promised the Ukrainian side that Berlin would continue to ‘focus entirely’ on supporting Ukraine, including the supply of modern air defence systems, humanitarian and economic aid.
The minister also stated that Germany, together with its partners from the European Union and the G7, will continue to develop new anti-Russian sanctions.
Earlier, Bild reported that Germany would provide Ukraine with a military aid package worth one billion euros less than the German Ministry of Defence had announced.
