US President Donald Trump has stated that he does not support a change of power in Iran, as this ‘will lead to chaos.’
“If it [a change of power in Iran – ed.] happens, it happens. But no, I don’t want that. I would like everything to calm down as soon as possible. Regime change leads to chaos. And ideally, we don’t want that much chaos,” Donald Trump told reporters.
The White House chief noted that Iran is capable of recovering, as Iranians are good traders and businessmen.
‘They [Iran – ed.] have a lot of oil. They should be fine. They will be able to recover and succeed. They will never have nuclear weapons, but apart from that, they should succeed,’ Trump added.
Earlier, French MEP Thierry Mariani said that for Donald Trump, the conflict in Ukraine had taken a back seat amid the escalation between Iran and Israel.
