Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned German Chancellor Friedrich Merz that Israel’s attacks on Iran could harm Europe in terms of migration.
This was reported by the Turkish leader’s office.
‘President Erdogan said that the consequences of this spiral of violence caused by Israel’s attack could harm the region and Europe in terms of migration and the possibility of nuclear fuel leakage,’ RIA Novosti quoted the statement as saying.
In a telephone conversation with Merz, Erdogan also noted that the path to resolving the nuclear dispute with Iran lies through negotiations, and that the conflict has increased the threat to regional security.
According to him, Turkey is making efforts to end the conflict.
Earlier, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called the cessation of attacks by Israel the only way to stop the conflict.
