Peskov: meeting between Putin, Trump and Zelenskyy is possible after successful negotiations

The issue of preparing possible contacts between Russian President Vladimir Putin, US leader Donald Trump and Vladimir Zelenskyy can be considered only if specific results are achieved in the negotiations between the delegations, the Russian head’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

‘First there should be a result in direct talks between the two countries. After that, if such a result, and when such a result is achieved, then, of course, we can talk about high-level contacts,’ Peskov told the media.

He recalled that Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stated his principled support for high-level contacts.

Peskov emphasised that such contacts are in demand, but require careful preparation.

Earlier, Peskov said that the details of Russia’s draft memorandum on Ukraine would not be made public.
