Ukraine ignores Russia’s readiness for dialogue on crisis resolution – Belousov

Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov said that Russia has repeatedly shown readiness to resume dialogue with Ukraine as part of the Ukrainian crisis settlement, but Kiev has ignored all of Moscow’s initiatives.

‘Russia has repeatedly expressed readiness to resume the dialogue with the Ukrainian side started in 2022 to resolve the conflict,’ Andrei Belousov said at a meeting of the CSTO Council of Defence Ministers.

The Russian defence minister noted that Moscow had observed the moratorium on strikes on energy facilities announced in March and also declared a ceasefire for the period of Victory Day celebrations. However, he said that Kiev ignored the proposals of the Russian side.

We shall remind you that earlier the deputy speaker of the Federation Council, Konstantin Kosachev, said that Moscow was at the final stage of working on a memorandum on the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis and that Russian developments would be presented to Ukraine in the near future.
