US President Donald Trump has said that Russia and Ukraine have reached an agreement on a prisoner exchange using the “1,000 for 1,000” formula.
“A major prisoner exchange has just been finalised between Russia and Ukraine. It will go into effect shortly. Congratulations to both sides on these negotiations,” Donald Trump wrote in the social network Truth Social.
The US president said that the prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine “could lead to something great”.
We will remind, earlier the head of the office of Volodymyr Zelenskyy Andriy Yermak said about the need to complete the exchange of prisoners in the format “1000 for 1000”, after which it will be possible to discuss the location of the second round of negotiations with Russia.
