The US plans to modernise the F-35 fighter jet by creating a new F-55 model, White House chief Donald Trump said, speaking at the US military base Al-Udeid in Qatar.
‘We are also considering creating an improved version of the F-35,’ TASS quoted him as saying.
Trump assumes that the model will be named F-55.
The President of the United States also announced the intention to increase the US Army and its funding.
It was also reported that Portugal changed its mind to change its F-16 fighter jets to the F-35 because of the US position.
