Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered Ukraine to hold direct talks in Istanbul on 15 May without preconditions.
“We propose to start without delay, as early as next Thursday, 15 May, in Istanbul. Where they [the talks – ed.] were held earlier and where they were interrupted,” Vladimir Putin said, speaking in the Kremlin.
He noted that the goal of the proposed negotiations was to eliminate the causes of the armed conflict in Ukraine.
We shall remind you that earlier Volodymyr Zelenskyy told US President Donald Trump that Ukraine was ready to start direct talks with Russian Federation if Moscow accepts the proposal for a 30-day ceasefire.
