The French Foreign Ministry has prepared about half of the 17th package of the EU sanctions against Russia.
This was announced by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot on air of France Inter radio station.
“We have contributed to this: my ministry has even formulated half of the definitions for this package of sanctions, which has already been practically adopted,” TASS quoted him as saying.
According to him, Europe has been working on this package of sanctions for weeks.
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron threatened to impose new anti-Russian sanctions in the coming days if Moscow refuses to accept the proposed 30-day ceasefire terms.
