US investment company Elliot Investment Management is considering buying part of the assets in the Bulgarian section of the Turkish Stream pipeline, the Wall Street Journal reports.
“An American hedge fund led by billionaire and founder Paul Singer is considering buying a stake in the Bulgarian section of the Turkish Stream pipeline,” the publication said.
According to the newspaper, representatives of the US company held a meeting with Bulgarian officials in Sofia in April and signed a non-disclosure agreement with Bulgarian gas operator Bulgaransgaz.
Recall, earlier Reuters reported that officials from Washington and Moscow discussed the possibility of resuming Russian gas supplies to Europe.
