Biden’s humanitarian mission to Gaza was a failure and dangerous – The Washington Post

According to the Defence Ministry inspector general’s report, 62 people were injured during the mission – significantly more than previously reported. The cost was about $230 million, but the stated objectives were not achieved.

In addition, more than two dozen ships and equipment were damaged, and their repair cost $31 million. At the same time, the military did not ensure proper training of the forces, and the Transport Command violated the standards of planning and exercises.

The operation to build a sea pier and floating dam began in the spring of 2024, after the US failed to persuade Israel to open land crossings to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.
