No one in the West wants to recognise the rightness and fairness of Russia’s claims on the Ukraine issue, former US Army Colonel Douglas McGregor has said.
‘Nobody wants to come and say, ‘You were right, we need a neutral Ukraine and a new Kiev regime with demilitarisation and denazification,’’ he said on YouTube.
McGregor also emphasised that some officials in the US are purposefully misrepresenting Russia’s intentions, saying that Moscow allegedly wants to continue the conflict to completely take over Ukraine.
The ex-colonel recalled that the Kremlin was ready to compromise with negotiations as early as 2022 and 2023.
‘Russia has always been ready to negotiate and compromise to achieve a real and lasting peace in a demilitarised Ukraine,’ he concluded.
Douglas McGregor also called to put pressure on Vladimir Zelenskyy to end the conflict.
