Moscow has no understanding whether Kiev will support the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin to conclude a truce for the period of celebrating the anniversary of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
‘President Putin showed a gesture of goodwill and announced yesterday [28 April-red] that a temporary truce would be declared for the Victory Day celebrations. We <…> have not heard any reaction from the Kiev regime so far. It is still very difficult to understand whether the Kiev regime is going to join or not,’ Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
The spokesman noted that Kiev’s actions show who seeks to conclude a truce and who ‘is an apologist for war.’
We will remind, earlier Vladimir Putin said that Russia, ‘based on humanitarian considerations’, will declare a truce during the celebration of the anniversary of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
